In Big Valley, train passengers have a few hours of free time before the train heads back to Stettler. There is a lots to see there: museums, souvenir shops, old roundhouse... But, when 6060 comes to town, the biggest attraction is, of course, the locomotive cab.

Once the locomotive goes around and couples to the new "front" of the train, the opportunity comes for the public to climb to the cab. This is a temptation no one can resist!

The oven burns, the valves hiss, the condensation drips from the top... The huge machine rests quietly, idling its power and relaxing muscles before the return trip, while her engineer gives a brief description of the all the gauges, switches and valves in the cab.
